Sorry, my books are currently closed. I had a computer meltdown and have to rebuild.
Information
I allow mares a foal every other year, starting at age 5 and usually totaling seven foals per mare. The eighth foaling year is reserved for private use, for a replacement ID for the mare/model in question.
When you send a breeding request, I'll need the following information for each horse you wish to PA (pedigree-assign):

When you send a breeding request, I'll need the following information for each horse you wish to PA (pedigree-assign):
- 1) Breed: I will often approve requests for cross-breeds but I may ask you to justify this if the cross doesn't seem to be necessary.
- 2) Sire: Which stallion of mine you wish to use.
- 3) Dam: Which mare of mine you wish to use.
- 4) The foal's (your horse's) name, if you have one picked out. Some breeds require that names be related to those of one or both of the parents, so you might have to wait until a breeding request is approved to officially name your horse. Just put [Name] (proposed) if that is the case. If you are not sure about naming requirements or traditions for your foal's breed, email me and I'll try to help, or refer yourself to IPABRA's page on Naming the Model Horse for guidance.
- 5) Please note that, as a matter of personal principle, I will not accept names that are sexually suggestive or involve especially overt drug references. I don't mind all that in my music but I wouldn't name my own animals in that fashion and I would rather not have it associated with my breeding program.
- 6) Gender: Mare, stallion, or gelding. I consider fillies to be mares and colts to be stallions or geldings.
- 7) The desired foaling year. All of my horses are aging and I do not accept non-aging foals, so I'll have to ask you to choose from among the mare's open years instead of requesting a fixed age for your foal.
- 8) The foal's color and markings. The color and markings of the foal must be genetically possible as a product of the parents' colors, and it must be legal to the breed. If you're not sure if your foal works, just email me and I'll help you out.
- 9) The foal's make, model, and finish. Manufacturer, model number/name, and whether it's original finish or customized. I will accept a few BSO and toy requests but, in general, I prefer that foals have bodies that are at least generally "model quality". A few of my premier mares will have requirements that a) the foal have a model body and b) that that body be of a certain level of quality. I don't have blanket rules about this since Breyer makes some toys and some of the Safari Limiteds and other "toy" manufacturers are really quite nice. When it doubt, just ask.
- 10) Miscellaneous. I don't really need this, but if there is something else you'd like me to know about the foal--show record, etc.--put it here. I'm a history geek; I love trivia.
- 11) Yes, I approve breedings to outside stallions and mares! My sire/dam listings are limited and there is a good chance I won't not have two appropriate parents for your horse. I am A-OK with working with other hobbyists on breedings. I also approve real-horse parents in some circumstances.
- 12) I can send your pedigree by Word attachment or in a plain email; your choice. If you would like a paper copy, let me know and I will send you my address and a request for a self-addressed, stamped, envelope.

Be courteous
Please don't use my stallions and mares without permission. This really shouldn't be necessary since I'm pretty open to breeding requests, and it's a big no-no in the model horse hobby. Remember: We're mostly women and we're very Internet-savvy. We can gossip world-wide in world-record time.
Please don't "borrow" my pictures. I don't borrow yours, and these aren't your horses. If you wish to use some of my photographs for reference, just ask. I'm (obviously) not a professional photographer and I don't have any financial incentive not to let you use them if you're honest about it.
